Can you figure out what this is? Take your time...the contest will run until Thursday March 13 at 6 PM. If there are multiple correct answers we will choose among them by picking the name from a hat, or a bowl, or something similar.
The prize? Choose any ACEO from my shop... Is that good? *
The new aceo was made by my almost 5 year old grandson for his Grandpa Michael.

And last but not least, come back for a new featured artist on Friday!

My only thought is part of a fleece but it doesn't really look like it...but that is my guess. What a sweet ACEO for grandpa!!!
Your grandson is quite the artist already! Kudos on the awesome ACEO!
Hmmm...now to enter my guess.
I think that might be a big blog of dryer lint! (Of course, maybe I'm the only person who forgets to empty the lint trap until the lint grows to that size!)
Or it could be a giant hornet's nest that's been collapsed.
Am I getting warm yet?
I think it is moldy ginger...
Also look at my blog I posted my 5 year old daughters ACEO!
Sunny was going to say dryer lint, too!
mmmm first thought was dryer lint ...second thought was something decayed ...but then I thought about whether I could put "something decayed" to sit on a knitted/toweling item for a photograph ...mmmmmmm *looks left/right and shrugs*
Definitely want to know the answer ...LOL
Regards,
Belinda :-)
"bellsakabin"
My first guess was dryer lint too, but after closer inspection, I'm guessing some sort of "sea sponge". Hope I'm right! I would love one of your ACEOs! Cute contest.
Oh, I so want to give all of you a hint!!!! Someone is close, but that's all I can say...
And the towel- one of a set of 5 from the dollar store. I COULD put something icky on it and not care too much...
Grandbaby is a budding artist, just like his parents both of whom paint and draw..
I'm going with a wasp or hornets nest~ I could swear I see tree branches in there ;) OR it could just be lack of sleep (lol)
hmmmm, given the hint, I'll have to go with a fleece item that accidentally went through the washing machine (and dryer!) lol
I think its dryer lint. The aceo for Grandpa is just darling.
i have no clue what that thing is. just wanted to say that your grand son's ACEO is adorable and you are a very special grandmother to include him in your life in this way.
I was going to say it looked like a cat's hairball or other thing coughed up... with the hint, perhaps the cat ate some dryer lint & then hacked it up?
This is a fun contest! I think it is paper making pulp.
And, that is an adorable ACEO your grand baby did.
I think it may be a birds nest taken over by a beehive. I really can't wait to see what it really is :0)
Ok I'm going to go right out there and say either a dried old sheep skin...but it does also resemble a dried old sheep stomach...how do I know you ask.... then again it does look like a mass of lint from the dryer...MMMmmmmm
Oh my God! What IS it?! Is it some felt halfway through the process?
